TFL PCO medicals need to be completed in line with the strict guidance issued by TFL. This includes drivers needing to be assessed with their full medical record present at the time of the medical. We understand the process can be confusing, which is why we are able to advise on the full process.
☑ Advice on getting your full medical records: many clients will accidentally be given a medical summary by their GP surgery, instead of the full medical record, which is what TFL require. We therefore provide you with advice on how to get the full medical record in advance of your appointment.
☑ We have completed 100s of TFL medicals and have had NO forms returned by TFL due to doctor related errors in completing the forms. This avoids unnecessary delays in your application.
☑ Pay £10 deposit only for your appointment today, if you do not have your full medical records and need to reschedule you will not lose your £5 deposit
☑ D4You has completed hundreds of TFL PCO private hire medicals
☑ We are the only TFL PCO Private Hire medical company to have ALL five star reviews on trustpilot
Book your TFL medical. We recommend choosing a date for approx 3-4 weeks time, to give you time to obtain your medical record from your GP surgery.
If you do not have your full medical records in time for your appointment, you can reschedule for free without losing your £10 deposit.
This is known as a "Subject Access Request". We recommend emailing your GP surgery requesting your full medical record.
Please note, we do not recommend calling the GP surgery and asking for your records, as this will likely result in the incorrect record being provided. We advise emailing your GP surgery the text below so that it is clear that the full medical record is required:
Name:
Date of Birth:
I am applying for a TFL/PCO license and for this, I am undergoing a TFL PCO medical with a private medical company.
To complete this, I am requesting my full medical record under Section 45 of the Data Protection Act 2018.
I would like the full medical record which shows all my previous consultations with the consultation notes visible, as well as any referrals, A&E attendances, discharge letters, outpatient letters and all correspondence and medical records available.
It must be the full medical record, it cannot be a medical summary and it cannot just show the last three most recent consultations. I would appreciate it if you could kindly email it to me in PDF form.
Our GMC licensed doctor completes your medical in person, using your full medical records and the TPH 204 form which is the official medical form authorised by TFL. You can get the form from here: https://content.tfl.gov.uk/tph204-medical-declaration.pdf
The medical involves reviewing your full medical records, taking a medical history and a medical examination including blood pressure and vision test. As part of this, we complete the TPH. 204 medical form.
With a large company, you're paying for all their eye watering overheads in addition to the driver medical service. We're not about unnecessary expenses like fancy offices, water coolers and team away days, which is why our doctors are able to keep the prices low whilst not compromising on quality.
Everything required to complete the TFL medical is included in the price, including the vision assessment and eye test.
As per TFL guidance, your medical must be completed by a GMC registered doctor with access to your full medical records. However, choose wisely.
Clients may find that if they choose a private provider who is unfamiliar with TFL PCO medicals, the form is filled out incorrectly and TFL returns the form asking for it to be corrected.
Or alternatively, the form is not actually completed with the correct medical records or to the standard required and is then returned to you to correct.
This causes significant delays to your application process and is highly frustrating for clients.
There are specific guidelines that must be followed and if your provider is unaware of these guidelines, your medical will be returned by TDL.
We are experienced in TFL PCO medicals and have NEVER had a single form returned by TFL due to errors such as not understanding the protocol for filling forms, or using the incorrect medical records. We are familiar with TFLs strict guidelines for completing their medicals. We have completed hundreds of TFL PCO medicals in accordance with the strict guidance as per TFL.
We cannot unfortunately do your medical without your full medical records as possession of your full medical records is a mandatory requirement for the TPH 204 form / TFL PCO medical, even if you are fit and well with no medical conditions.
Many of our clients are self employed and take time out of their day for their appointment.
To prevent you planning your appointment, only to be told that you have the incorrect records, we offer a FREE service where we check your records BEFOREHAND so that you are certain that you have everything required for your TFL PCO medical. Just call, text or whatsapp us and we will explain what we need you to provide.
Your GP surgery must supply your full medical record within 28 days of receiving your request. We recommend asking for your record in advance, in writing, approx 4 weeks prior to when you will need your medical completed. Don't leave requesting your record until the last minute!
