Please reach us at admin@d4youdrivermedicals.co.uk or call us on 07503 954 652 if you cannot find an answer to your question. Here you will find answers to questions relating to our London mobile medicals, including how mobile medicals work.
Step 1. Book your medical via our BOOK NOW page or call us on 07503 954 652. You request the date and time that works best for you. The cost of mobile medicals is the cost of the medical itself, + £5 per mile away from TW9 to cover travel and time costs.
Step 2. We will get in touch within 2-3 hours of your booking being made, via call or text to confirm your slot or discuss an alternate time.
If the time and date you requested is unavailable, we will find the soonest possible slot available for you, which will usually be within 24 hours.
Step 3. Our GMC doctor comes to either your home or work to complete your medical. We bring everything required to conduct the medical. We ask that you have your form prepared.
[Please note - we cannot do the medical in a public place such as a cafe or open area as we need to examine you and test your vision as part of the medical and it would not be appropriate to do this in public.]
Step 4. You send the relevant form off that we have completed. Job done!
We mainly do medicals in South West London, Kingston Area, Hounslow, Ealing, Uxbridge etc.
However we have previously travelled to further locations such as Slough, Surrey, Brixton, Lewisham and even Reading for our clients! We will discuss the cost before you confirm.
2. Once you book, we will contact you to confirm the full address that you would like the mobile medical to take place and confirm the exact cost.
3. We give you an arrival time window of roughly 1 hour around your appointment time, to account for London traffic.
4. We bring everything needed to complete the medical. We prefer the medical to take place in your home/work in an area where there is a table and two chairs, as we will need to be seated in order to check your blood pressure and complete the medical consultation.
We are happy to discuss bespoke mobile medicals in neighbouring areas outside of the catchment area [we have previously travelled to Surrey / Reading / Slough / Windsor / Lewisham / Brixton / Wembley for mobile medicals for our clients!].
Our GMC registered doctor who has experience in completing thousands of medicals will be completing your medical in full.
Other healthcare professionals, or non GMC registered doctors are not licensed to complete DVLA/TFL/Council Taxi Medicals.
We are flexible and offer early mornings, afternoons and evenings. Both weekdays and weekends.
Clients find it much more convenient requesting a mobile medical at a time of their convenience, instead of having to trek out and take time out of your day to attend an appointment.
We conduct medicals at either your place of work or your home.
Please note, if you are conducting the medical at work please ensure you have the permission from your employer and that they consent to us coming.
Many clients find it stressful having to book their medical which is usually taking place in a location far from there. This results in having to take time out of your day to attend an appointment which is highly inconvenient.
We take the inconvenience out of it and come to you. Our doctors already work and live in the areas we cover, therefore can easily and quickly come out to you to complete your medical at convenient times that fit around your busy schedule.
We can conduct your mobile medical even if you live in a small flat or do not have a home office. Any area of your home with two chairs and a table is fine, or alternatively your living room.
The most important factors are:
- We cannot do your medical in public places such as a cafe, the medical involves a vision test and medical examination so it would be inappropriate do this in public.
- Just for your reference - We will be doing a vision test and the vision chart needs to be 3 metres in distance from where you are stood. We will place the vision chart on a surface such as a table and will bring a measuring tape to ensure it is placed at the correct distance. We need a well lit room in order to complete the vision test.
Aside from this, we are experienced in mobile medicals and as long as it is not done in a public place, we will adjust accordingly.
We do the following as mobile medicals:
HGV mobile medical
D4 mobile medical
C1 Ambulance paramedic mobile medical
